The Original Mountain Heather Hat, made out of Polarfleece, was the most popular Mountain Heather winter hat for decades. When Mountain Heather moved from fleece to repurposed wool, we created a wool version of 'The Original'. It is still the most decorative of the Mountain Heather hats, showcasing a tall band of the signature Mountain Heather appliqued mountain design, featuring three cotton patterns for the sky, mountains and moon/sun. Like the Original, the Wool Original also often has three different wools in the body, but with wool, there's an opportunity to mix and match colors and patterns upon colors and patterns. It remains the warmest Mountain Heather hat with the folded-up design that offers a double layer of wool wrapping the head, as well as a dense, but soft, wool lining. Wool Originals, like all wool styles, are equipped with a size reducer in the back. The Wool Original has a toggle with an elastic cord to cinch up the back to fit more snugly against the ears, if necessary.

The variables of repurposed wool are endless, including thickness, which causes a slight variation within a size.
Small fits up to 23" circumference, recommended up to 22.5".
Medium fits up to 24" circumference, recommended up to 23.5".
Large fits up to 25" circumference, recommended up to 24.5".
